A fellow inkblot enthusiast asked me recently if I had heard of Gobolinks, and I was amazed the find that I didn’t know anything about this book, originally written and illustrated in 1896 by Ruth McEnery Stuart and Albert Bigelow Paine. Gobolinks, much like Justinus Kerner’s work from the 1700s is a collection of inkblots and little poems. Gobolinks was intended for fun and not psychological analysis. And, it is available in a new 2013 edition! I would like to have this old one…
