Margaret’s book, Inkblot: Drip, Splat and Squish Your Way to Creativity (Boyds Mills Press) is at a store near you as of March 1, 2011!
Her first book, Make Your Mark: Explore Your Creativity and Discover Your Inner Artist (Chronicle Books, 2004) is a collection of no-fail, no-drawing-necessary ways to make beautiful marks on paper. Make Your Mark has found a following in the education community, and was voted one of the best how-to books of 2004 by Library Journal.
She is currently working on a new book, The Successful Artist’s Career Guide: Finding Your Way in the Business of Art with North Light Books.
Margaret Peot is a painter, printmaker, and writer. She has exhibited at Art and Words in Brooklyn, NY, the Galleries at Saint Peter’s in New York, Grady Alexis Gallery at El Taller Latinoamericano, NY The Center for Book Arts, NY, La Mama New Works Series, NY, Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Lake Placid, NY, and The Ocean City Arts Guild in Ocean City, NJ.
Margaret has painted costumes for Broadway theater, dance, television and the circus for the past twenty years.
